Keeper (2025) – REVIEW

November 14, 2025

I went in blind to Ozgood Perkins’ (Perkins’s?) Keeper for two reasons. 1. I knew it was from him so I knew I was going to see it and didn’t need any convincing from the marketing campaign. I’ve enjoyed all of his features up to this point. 2. I wanted absolutely zero spoilers. I know … More Keeper (2025) – REVIEW

31+ Micro-reviews for October 2025

October 31, 2025

I did it, folks! Over 31 new-to-me horror films watched since Oct. 1st. This and 31 full reviews are just a couple of the perks of being unemployed! (laughter devolves into sobs) 44 Hell Hole (2024) – An American fracking operation in Serbia digs up a live man infected with an aggressive cephalopod-like parasite. Watcher (2022) – REVIEW

October 29, 2025

Here’s another one that I knew nothing about before searching for my 28th film of 31 for this month. The description sounded promising and it stars established – and well-regarded – genre actor, Maika Monroe. That was enough to sell me on it, but then I learned that Chloe Okuna directed and co-wrote the film. … More Watcher (2022) – REVIEW

Red Rooms (2023) – REVIEW

October 28, 2025

I first heard about Red Rooms on the r/Horror subreddit. Some folks there were praising the movie for how intense it is. And some folks in the comments didn’t like it. That’s typical for any Reddit thread of course. But the film kept coming up in the comments of “best of the year” and “most … More Red Rooms (2023) – REVIEW

Humane (2024) – REVIEW

October 27, 2025

Enrico Colantoni is an underrated treasure of an actor. He has great range, a unique look (for an actor), and a solid track record of shining in whatever part he plays – large or small. So, when I saw that he was in Caitlin Cronenberg’s Humane, that was enough to convince me it was worth … More Humane (2024) – REVIEW

Macabre (1958) – REVIEW

October 23, 2025

After cleaning out my various queues this month, I’ve seen all of the horror that I want to see on HBO (and at least one that i didn’t really want to see but watched anyway). One of those films is the one I’m reviewing now as the 23rd film for this month – Macabre. There’s … More Macabre (1958) – REVIEW

Psychopaths (2017) – REVIEW

October 19, 2025

This is my last Keating review for this October’s 31 Days of Dread MegathonTM. I promise! You may be thinking, “Wait a minute! Danger said he only had one unseen Keating movie way back when he reviewed Offseason. And then he reviewed Invader. What gives!!??” I understand your confusion. I did say that. And I … More Psychopaths (2017) – REVIEW

Knuckleball (2018) – Review

July 30, 2018

More Fantasia Int’l Film Festival 2018 coverage! I know! It’s so much! I’m so generous! Check this shit out! (my review of Knuckleball)   Henry’s mom and dad aren’t the model couple. It doesn’t seem like they like each other at all. Maybe that’s why dad is using this trip back to mom’s … More Knuckleball (2018) – Review

Cam (2018) – REVIEW – Fantasia 2018

July 22, 2018

What’s this?! An American film in my Fantasia Int’l Film Festival 2018 reviews suite?! Well, I can hardly believe it myself. But it’s true. Cam is an American film and I’m about to review it riiiiiiiiiiggggggghhhhhhtttt-NOW!   Alice is a “cam girl”. She performs under the name Lola and one of her greatest desires is … More Cam (2018) – REVIEW – Fantasia 2018

Cold Hell (2017) – REVIEW

May 31, 2018

If you’re anything like me, you have probably heard some positive buzz about  the Austrian (German?) cat-and-mouse film, Cold Hell. It made some waves on the festival circuit before being added as an exclusive to Shudder’s streaming features lineup. So, if you want to stream this one (legally of course) you gotta… A) get that … More Cold Hell (2017) – REVIEW

No Real Danger is a blog of my ramblings on the films that I watch/have watched/want to watch/etc. I will typically post (with irregular regularity) comma and parenthetical filled short-form entries. I plan to keep things positive, but I might grumble about something every once in a while. Horror is my “jam” but I may occasionally post about a non-horror movie. Similarly, I usually watch independent movies but not exclusively. Hell, I might even post about music. Who knows?
