Cee is a pregnant woman traveling on a hellish train through a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The train is dilapidated and requires frequent repairs from the engineers and when the repairs aren’t possible, they just cut cars loose with passengers inside. When they run into a herd of cattle, they convert some cars into an abattoir and … More From Inside (2008) – REVIEW
I heard nothing about this movie before seeing it recommended on Tubi. It was a good rec. I like Dev Patel. I like folk horror. So, why wouldn’t I like this movie? The trailer piqued my interest so I watched it. Now I’m writing about it! Let’s get into it, shall we? A couple who … More Rabbit Trap (2025) – REVIEW
I have been a horror fan for almost my entire life. My first horror memory is from when I was very young. I was resisting going to sleep and doing that kid thing where I ask for a drink just to stay up a little longer. My parents were watching Magic (1978) on TV. I … More Scarecrows (1988) – REVIEW
Good Boy has been in my queue since it hit Shudder. I like Shudder. I like that there is a dedicated streaming service for horror fans. I like that they have quite a few classics and future classics to choose from. I don’t like the interface of the app on XBox or that they aren’t … More Good Boy (2025) – REVIEW
I admit that I slept on Marshmallow after hearing that it’s a summer camp slasher. I’ve seen plenty of summer camp slashers. They’re not bad. Not at all. But I’m not really going to get excited about a new IP summer camp slasher that I didn’t hear/read a ton of buzz about. Even if there … More Marshmallow (2025) – REVIEW
I’m a big fan of director Jane Schoenbrun’s previous films – We’re All Going to the World’s Fair and I Saw the TV Glow. They were so weird and quietly reality bending. The films had a fresh perspective and unique aesthetic with an undercurrent of surreality. Though they are not horrific, they have a horror … More Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma (2026) – REVIEW
When Undertone landed on HBO’s [whatever they’re calling their streaming service now], I read several positive posts about it on Reddit. So I checked out the synopsis – paranormal podcasters experience paranormal stuff – I thought, “eh, why not?” and put it in my queue. It was with that same level of enthusiasm that I … More Undertone (2025) – REVIEW
Here’s another one that I knew nothing about until I saw it on Tubi. The description sounded interesting and it has both Chase Williamson and Lauren Ashley Carter in it. Sweet! I appreciate seeing those two in horror movies. Let’s get into it, shall we? Artik, a slow-talking beast of a man, and his wife … More Artik (2019) – REVIEW
Alice, Sweet Alice has been on my radar for a very long time. I’d heard some very positive things about it from some horror fans whose opinions I respect. I don’t know why it took me years and years to get around to watching it. It may be partially because this is another film that … More Alice, Sweet Alice (1976) – REVIEW
Backwoods killers is a robust subgenre that has been around for ages. Heck, my all-time favorite horror movie is a backwoods killer movie that’s over 50 years old – The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. (or Chain Saw if you want to be screen accurate) But for every TCSM we get 10 or 20 awful films like … More Dolly (2025) – REVIEW
