REVIEW – Would You Rather (2012)

March 21, 2016

I will often give a poorly reviewed or critically ignored movie a chance simply because it features an actor that I like. Of  course, this has bitten me in the ass on  more than a few occasions. One such actor, Jeffrey Combs, is a genre film icon. He has lent his unique, pursed-lips, uptight-bordering-on-indignant-rage … More REVIEW – Would You Rather (2012)

REVIEW – Asylum Blackout (2011)

March 17, 2016

I watch a fair number of horror films. I try to stay up on (mostly independent) new releases and upcoming projects, but I can’t watch everything. So, in an effort to maximize the efficiency of my time spent watching horror films, I often look to the recommendations of friends/twitter “friends”/respected horror critics. When I … More REVIEW – Asylum Blackout (2011)

Hellions (2015) – REVIEW

February 15, 2016

I’m not a huge fan of scary kids movies. (i don’t mean movies for kids that are scary. i like those) I’ve just never really found a 50 pound kid very menacing. Sure, there are a few exceptions, but overall, they’re not my thing. So, when I heard about Hellions, I wasn’t super … More Hellions (2015) – REVIEW

REVIEW – Proxy (2013)

February 5, 2016

Proxy was recommended to me by a friend whose opinion I deeply respect. I also heard a positive mention of it on Killer POV.  (can you see where this is going?) Even though Netflix estimated that I would only like it 1.5 stars, I checked it out. Netflix is actually pretty bad at guessing … More REVIEW – Proxy (2013)

REVIEW – Last Shift (2015)

January 18, 2016

Winter (December/January in particular) is a time a quiet reflection. A time when many parts of the country (nay, the world!) are plunged into frigid isolation and forced to wait out the potentially deadly weather in the comforts of the their own shelters. This isolation makes one introspective and philosophical. What is the … More REVIEW – Last Shift (2015)

No Real Danger is a blog of my ramblings on the films that I watch/have watched/want to watch/etc. I will typically post (with irregular regularity) comma and parenthetical filled short-form entries. I plan to keep things positive, but I might grumble about something every once in a while. Horror is my “jam” but I may occasionally post about a non-horror movie. Similarly, I usually watch independent movies but not exclusively. Hell, I might even post about music. Who knows?
