Condemned is out today on DVD, Blu-ray, and VOD. (i posted my largely positive review of it last week, remember?) I am giving my press copy of the DVD to a randomly selected individual for following @norealjason and RT’ing the giveaway notice on Twitter winner. So, FOLLOW (if you don’t already) and RT the giveaway tweet (even if you … More GIVEAWAY – Condemned (2015) DVD
Coherence took up exactly ZERO space on my horror film radar screen when it came out. (it’s a metaphorical screen with metaphorical blips and pings and whatnot) Maybe because it’s billed as a sci-fi film. The only reason I know about it at all is because it came up during a way-too-long search for something to … More Coherence (2013) – REVIEW
When I saw the trailer for Condemned I was pretty impressed. It looked like a fun, indie splatfest despite some annoying characters. (but isn’t that part of the fun?) It had pustules, vomiting, tongue injection, stabbing, bludgeoning, and… was that Nick Damici?! Nice! That guy should be in every movie! The trailer paints the film … More REVIEW – Condemned (2015)
You may be wondering where I’ve been. (hopefully somebody cares enough!) Well, I’ve been on vacation. Literally. I left my home, traveled to a distant land, and now I’m in the southern tip of Texas looking at birds and wildlife every day. (what, you thought horror movies were my only pasttime?) I’ll be back … More RAMBLING – Winter Break (2015)
No Real Danger is a small operation, folks. It’s just me, good ol’ Jason Danger (so far). I started this site because I love horror and I wanted an outlet for my thoughts on films and whatnot. I try to report honestly with an emphasis on the positive aspects of my subjects. And, obviously, there’s … More Indigenous (2015) – REVIEW
Writing about the After Dark Horrorfest got me thinking about The Abandoned. It was part of the After Dark Horror Fest first year lineup of films. In fact, it was the first ADHF movie I saw. It set the bar unrealistically high for the “8 Films to Die For” program (now the official title of … More The Abandoned (2006) – REVIEW
Hidden (aka Skjult) is part of the “After Dark Horrorfest” (i’m going to call this ADHF, if you don’t mind) line of films – long defunct but resurrected this year as “8 Films to Die For” (previously, the tagline for ADHF). Hidden was in the lineup in the fourth year of this noble effort. Why … More Hidden (2009) – REVIEW
Two things: 1. New post category! Who knows how far I can take it! Labor Day horror? MLK Day horror?! The world is my oyster! 2. I do know that everybody is doing a Christmas horror list/post. I’m doing this anyway because I can only take so many “Did you see that NPR article about … More SEASONAL – Christmas Horror
You might be thinking, “What’s this shit, Danger?” You’re wondering why I’d ramble about Return to Oz, a kids’ movie from 1985. A Disney movie no less! Well, I’m going to make a case for categorizing this movie as a horror film. “A horror film?!” you sputter. (i have a weird image of my … More RAMBLING – Return to Oz (1985)
It may seem odd that I’m reviewing Rest Stop right now since it’s a decade old. Should it be in my “underappreciated” category? Maybe. But I hesitate to label it that because it’s not super great (that’s not the final cut by the way. keep reading please). I’m only reviewing it because it’s … More REVIEW – Rest Stop (2006)
