Breathing In (2023) – REVIEW

October 24, 2025

Here’s a new one – While looking for my 24th film of October 2025, my interest was piqued for this movie not because of the trailer or from hearing about it on social media (soda meesh), but from the cool looking poster. When I saw the thumbnail on Tubi, I thought maybe it was a … More Breathing In (2023) – REVIEW

Uncle Peckerhead (2020) – REVIEW

October 21, 2025

I chose Uncle Peckerhead for my 22nd film of 31 this month for reasons that may sound familiar if you’ve been following along lately. Namely, I saw the trailer a long time ago and it looked like fun. So I put it in my queue where it languished until now. I’ve been feeling pretty good … More Uncle Peckerhead (2020) – REVIEW

Sissy (2022) – REVIEW

October 19, 2025

My 21st film of the month is Sissy, a movie that I’ve had in my Shudder queue for what seems like ages. I’m pretty sure I put it in there because I saw some positive posts about it on social media. I don’t think I saw the trailer for this one. If I did, I … More Sissy (2022) – REVIEW

Psychopaths (2017) – REVIEW

October 19, 2025

This is my last Keating review for this October’s 31 Days of Dread MegathonTM. I promise! You may be thinking, “Wait a minute! Danger said he only had one unseen Keating movie way back when he reviewed Offseason. And then he reviewed Invader. What gives!!??” I understand your confusion. I did say that. And I … More Psychopaths (2017) – REVIEW

Lowlifes (2024) -REVIEW

October 16, 2025

Someone in r/Horror said that they were impressed with the Tubi original film, Lowlifes. I didn’t think much of it at the time. I hadn’t really considered watching a Tubi original before this month while looking for my 19th movie to watch for the Watch 31 New-to-You Horror Films in October or Your Wife and … More Lowlifes (2024) -REVIEW

Invader (2024) – REVIEW

October 12, 2025

While searching for 31 new-to-me films to watch this October, I realized that I was not up-to-date on my Mickey Keating. He is a rock solid indie horror filmmaker and I’ve liked everything I’ve seen by him. I was foolish to let his films slip by me before now. I’m obviously (i hope it’s obvious … More Invader (2024) – REVIEW

Vesper (2022) – REVIEW

October 12, 2025

I am a pretty big fan of films that can blend horror and sci-fi. As much as I love horror movies, I don’t really read a lot of horror books. I do read a ton though. And about 95% of what I read is sci-fi. For some reason I feel that almost all horror can … More Vesper (2022) – REVIEW

Offseason (2021) – REVIEW

October 8, 2025

Mickey Keating is a very competent indie horror director. I’ve seen all but one of his features (reviewed a couple too) and enjoyed them all. He has a good eye for setting tense scenes and his characters always feel authentic even when they are losing their minds. When choosing my 12th film for this year’s … More Offseason (2021) – REVIEW

Random Acts of Violence (2019) – REVIEW

October 8, 2025

Jay Baruchel is perhaps best known as the affable friend to Seth Rogen in This is the End or the voice of Hiccup in How to Train Your Dragon. But did you know that he directed a horror film called Random Acts of Violence? He did! And it’s my 11th (of 31) film of this … More Random Acts of Violence (2019) – REVIEW

Starfish (2018) – REVIEW

October 7, 2025

There was some buzz about Starfish when it made the festival circuit. At the time, I made a mental note to check it out at some point. But then I didn’t. I can’t really explain why though. My usual excuse of, “it wasn’t on a streaming service that I already pay for,” doesn’t work because … More Starfish (2018) – REVIEW

No Real Danger is a blog of my ramblings on the films that I watch/have watched/want to watch/etc. I will typically post (with irregular regularity) comma and parenthetical filled short-form entries. I plan to keep things positive, but I might grumble about something every once in a while. Horror is my “jam” but I may occasionally post about a non-horror movie. Similarly, I usually watch independent movies but not exclusively. Hell, I might even post about music. Who knows?
