31+ Micro-reviews for October 2025

October 31, 2025

I did it, folks! Over 31 new-to-me horror films watched since Oct. 1st. This and 31 full reviews are just a couple of the perks of being unemployed! (laughter devolves into sobs) 44 Hell Hole (2024) – An American fracking operation in Serbia digs up a live man infected with an aggressive cephalopod-like parasite. I … More 31+ Micro-reviews for October 2025

Things (1989) – REVIEW

February 9, 2017

“Have you seen Things?” A question that started the gears in motion that (maybe unsurprisingly) ended with me watching Things. Board game night at Wolfman‘s fell through, so he asked me the question. I hadn’t. Neither had he. But he did just buy a copy and he was free, so we put on our footie … More Things (1989) – REVIEW

Possession (1981) – REVIEW

October 4, 2016

Every October, I try to watch at least 31 horror films (as we all should). This is not a tradition that I made up. (just in case you thought i was claiming so) Some people challenge themselves to watch a film a day. I just try to average one a day. Some people challenge themselves … More Possession (1981) – REVIEW

REVIEW – Lake Nowhere (2015)

August 16, 2016

If you’ve heard of Lake Nowhere, then you might be a bit surprised to see it here at NoRealDanger. “What are you doing reviewing a short film, idiot?!” you may be screaming at your screen. To that I say, “Whoa. Calm down. Take some deep breaths. Maybe have a cup of chamomile.” It’s true that … More REVIEW – Lake Nowhere (2015)

The Mind’s Eye (2016) – REVIEW

August 8, 2016

I saw Joe Begos’s Almost Human here in Chicago a couple of years ago when he and star/editor Josh Ethier were touring with it. It was a refreshing throwback to the sci-fi horror films of the 80s. It featured some great practical effects, some crazy plot elements (in a good way), and some real fear … More The Mind’s Eye (2016) – REVIEW

The Burning (1981) – VIDEO NASTIES REVIEW

March 7, 2016

It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these “video nasties” posts. Now’s as good a time as any, I suppose. And what better film to cover than The Burning? I’ve seen The Burning several times both on the small screen and the big. That’s not gauche braggery, I’m just establishing that I’m familiar … More The Burning (1981) – VIDEO NASTIES REVIEW

No Real Danger is a blog of my ramblings on the films that I watch/have watched/want to watch/etc. I will typically post (with irregular regularity) comma and parenthetical filled short-form entries. I plan to keep things positive, but I might grumble about something every once in a while. Horror is my “jam” but I may occasionally post about a non-horror movie. Similarly, I usually watch independent movies but not exclusively. Hell, I might even post about music. Who knows?
